Dada Libo-On has been a leader in the Filipino ultimate community for over 10 years. A captain of Damaguete's Extreme, he has traveled the Philippines to play tournaments, help with clinics, and spread the game of ultimate throughout the provinces. Dada has been relentless in his efforts to improve as an individual, and to push the growth of ultimate at the local and national level in the Philippines. A multi-year member of the Philippine's Men's National team, he has competed at the World Championships of Beach (Boracay Dragons) and Grass ultimate for his home country.
In his efforts to continue growing as a player and leader, Dada has made the trip from the Philippines to Chicago, IL to compete as a member of Chicago Machine. Machine is an elite ultimate frisbee team, which competes at the highest levels of USA Ultimate's Triple Crown Tour. Dada is not only trying to help push Machine to greater successes in 2017, he is also studying as much as he can about how ultimate is taught, organized, and played in the US, so he can return to the Philippines and pass his knowledge on to the local community.
Dada has been saving for some time to be able to make this experience a reality, but needs support in his journey. This target goal will help with a small portion of the costs of the international flights, domestic flights, housing in Chicago, local transportation, housing at tournaments, food, team dues, USA Ultimate membership fees, and other miscellaneous expenses he has budgeted for his 3 months with Machine.
If you are able to show your support for Dada by donating towards his residency in Chicago and/or sharing this post via social media, he and Machine would be incredibly thankful!
Donations can be processed via PayPal or Credit Card. Any increments are encouraged, ranging from $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, or more. (The name on the PayPal account which will be accepting the donations is Machine's treasurer, Pawel Janas). If you provide your email address in the "message" section of your donation, Dada will be sending you a personal thank you message for your care and support!
