Protection for All Movement is an undocumented-led group of Chicago volunteers organizing to raise funds for the renewal fees of DACA recipients. Our goal is to help DACA recipients who currently qualify for renewal, but do not have the funds, to cover the renewal fee of $495.
On January 8, 2018 a federal judge in California - Judge William Alsup - blocked the Trump admin from from ending DACA. The Trump admin has stated that they will challenge the judge's decision. We don't know how long qualified DACA recipients will have to apply for a renewal, so we are trying to move as fast as possible, to ensure that all qualified DACA folks apply for a renewal before the window closes.
Your donation allows current DACA recipients facing this SUDDEN financial hardship to apply for renewal of a two-year work authorization permit and reprieve from deportation. If DACA recipients are unable to raise the necessary funds they are highly likely to be terminated from their jobs, face risk of homelessness, and an increased risk of deportation. Many DACA recipients financially contribute to their families, in addition to, supporting themselves and this is likely to create further financial burden on their families as well!
All funds raised will ONLY go towards application processing fees of eligible DACA applications!
While we do not know what the future holds in terms of legislation for DACA recipients, your donation will decrease the sudden financial hardship of DACAmented people trying to find $500 or more in a short period of time.
1. Be a DACA recipient, who currently qualifies for renewal according to the USCIS guidelines but does not have the funds to cover the renewal fee of $495.
