Cystic Fibrosis Relief Fund January 2018
Thanks to generous donors the Cystic Fibrosis Relief Fund has helped 28 individuals affected by Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma and the California wild fires.
We are accepting donations for families who still need help.
The CF Relief Fund is unique as no lengthy forms are required which results in a rapid turnaround time in helping those in need.
Local Cystic Fibrosis Care Centers refer families in need of help to the CFRF. Volunteers speak to the family and determine the best way to meet immediate needs.
We have helped families in the past 4 months with rental and utility assistance, beds, furniture, gift cards for food and gas cards that have allowed travel to medical appointments.
The CF Relief Fund has helped families who were living in gutted apartments with mold move to safe housing. Many children were sleeping on the floor because their beds had been ruined. The CF Relief Fund has provided new beds so these children can get a good night’s sleep.
My name is Isabella Passamano and I am in high school and live in Houston, Texas. My parents, Beth Sufian and James Passamano have helped thousands of people with CF in the past 22 years. I decided to start the CF Relief Fund to do my part to help people with CF.
100 percent of funds donated go immediately to meet the needs of children and adults who have CF. Our staff is all volunteer.
The CF Relief Fund pays vendors directly for the goods and services delivered and does its best to purchase goods and services from local vendors to support the local economy as it rebuilds.
**The CF Relief Fund is a Texas non-profit and is applying for tax exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. Donors will be notified when tax exempt status is approved so donations can be deducted from taxable income.
