Poor Homer. Found as a stray, so alone in the world. Nothing but sadness seemed possible for him. Old and missing fur, he wasn't looking like he was going to be adopted from the cold, harsh floor of the animal control shelter. But his photo hit the heart of a rescuer, and Coastal Pet Rescue stepped in to give him a reprieve; after all, no one's final days should have to be that way.
Getting Homer out of animal control is the first step; providing for his veterinary care is the next. He is heartworm positive, is missing teeth, has masses that will need to be removed and possibly biopsied, needs a good grooming to clear up the mats he has from what fur he has left, and has ocular haziness.
With your help, we can give Homer hope as he's just one of several senior pets in our care. Together, we can get him healthy and ready to live out his golden years with a loving family.
