We are so thankful to have reached our initial goal of $500.00 sooner than expected with a very generous donation on Jan 5th. After hearing from our comrades in the East Coast on how to better prepare for the harsh weather conditions, we realized we are in need to raise an additional $350.00 to go towards serious winter attire and will be increasing our total goal to $850.00.
With the 3 of us being from San Francisco and living there, we do not own any winter gear that will truly protect us while we are marching in the streets for hours. It is expected it could be in the 30's and possibly go below freezing in D.C.
The $350.00 will go towards:
- 3 warm waterproof hats
- 3 sized Large down jackets or ones that are rated for 20 degree weather
- 3 pairs of silk or cotton long johns and warm pants
- 3 pairs of rain pants and a rain coat or rain parka
- 3 pairs of wool gloves
- 3 pairs of winter boots
- 9 pairs of wool socks, and extra socks
Thank you for the support. We are leaving for D.C. in 12 days!
