To everyone who may not have heard the news, tragedy struck our dear friend and colleague Cheronda Thompson and her family Sunday, March 18, 2018. The home of Roman, Cheronda, and their four boys caught on fire Sunday evening, claiming everything they owned along with the life of Roman Thompson.
As you are all aware, Cheronda is an avid educator and advocate for teachers and students in the Shelby County School District. She has tirelessly given of herself for others, now it’s our turn to support her and her family during this tragedy.
The United Education Association of Shelby County has created this care funding to provide support to Cheronda and the boys as they began to put the pieces of their lives back together.
We’re grateful for the numerous calls, text, and emails from people asking how to help. If you would like to donate, just click on the donate button and donate whatever you can. If you are not able to donate don’t forget you can still leave messages and comments for Cheronda and the kids to read.
