It's that time of the year again. Time to start emotionally, physically and financially prepping for our monthly winter outreaches. Winter hits the chained dogs harder than any other season. They are confined and unable to seek proper/warmer shelter and food to feed their hungry bellies while their body burns twice as many calories trying to regulate body heat. They are stuck exactly where they are, day in and day out, in the very conditions that they were left in. To combat this, we are going to provide straw, proper tie outs, dog houses & heaters, folders filled with education, high protein food, long lasting bones and more to hundreds and hundreds of chained dogs. We will also need to rent a large Uhaul box truck monthly to bring all of our our supplies to our central meeting place in Southwest Detroit where we will also be providing supplies to the public for owners who come to get help for their dogs all on their own. Please consider pitching in to make these outreaches possible by donating or sharing. In order to make such a large, mass outreach possible, we need help from anyone who is able to pitch in. With your help, we can turn a cold, hungry, bored dog into a warmer, happier dog with a full belly. With continued education and maybe some tools such as a crate and/or potty training information, maybe we can turn that chained dog into a family dog that lives inside with his family. Thank you!!
