This fundraising event to help us with three very special animals currently in our care and requiring expensive medical treatment. Our first little baby is Eli, an absolutely gorgeous puppy!
Little did we know the challenges that faced us in picking up this innocent 4-month-old puppy from the Manhattan Animal Care and Control!
He bounced around and played for the first two days but before long started to cough - a sound we know all too well. Unfortunately, Eli's kennel cough turned into life-threatening pneumonia - his X-rays showed fluid-filled lungs and his vitals were weak. Luckily, he is currently in good hands at our vet, receiving IV fluids and meds until he is able to eat on his own.
What we thought would be a 'quickie' adoption turned into a major monetary set back for us!Our second little baby is Pete!
Adorable little Pete was hit by a car and suffered a fractured pelvis and severed penis. The driver that hit him DID NOT EVEN STOP! Fortunately a Good (Great!) Samaritan rushed him to the vet and saved his life!
Pete is a 2-year-old-poodle with a wonderful personality that still shines through despite the adversity he's weathered! Pete needs extensive surgery, but we're optimistic that, with your help, he should make a full recovery! Pete is a beautiful, friendly, lovable little dog that deserves a chance at happiness!
Our third patient is Penelope, a gorgeous calico kitty!
Poor little Penelope required emergency surgery when she was diagnosed with intussusception. This is a rare bowel disorder that requires the removal of a part of the bowel.
Please make a tax-deductible donation to help us help them!
