Sweet Carmine hasn't been feeling his best. This sweet kitty has been a frequent visitor to his Vet, but nothing has seemed to help much. It's time for the next step, a Vet Specialist and an ultrasound. Mom Sierra loves Carmine so very much, but she is having challenges paying for this test. We need to pull together and help.
Here is what Mom Sierra has to say:
I spoke with the vet a bit ago, and I'm totally freaking out. Carmine's ALT level is 201 (high end of normal is 158). She said they worry about this liver level a lot when it is elevated. His pancreatitis level came back at 3.6 (high end of normal is 3.5). His phosphorus was a little low (not sure the value, though). She said Carmine's intestinal tract, pancreas, AND liver may be inflamed. She said that it could also be hepatitis or a liver tumor. She said she doesn't know if the liver damage is primary or secondary to something else. I know it could be a lot of things, but it sounds pretty serious, and I'm really upset and worried. We need to get an ultrasound ASAP - waiting for a return call from the Internal Medicine people at VRCC to schedule....
UPDATE: His ultrasound is next Tuesday. I will need to raise more funds for it."
Please help Mom Sierra help her heart kitty Carmine. If you'd like to donate to Carmine's ultrasound (which will be on Tuesday), you can donate here and we will pass the funds directly to Sierra. If you prefer to donate directly to the Vet, you can call VRCC at 303-874-7387
. If you call VRCC, they will need Sierra's name for the account (Sierra Koester). You can tell them the funds are for Carmine's ultrasound.
Mom Sierra needs approximately $200 for the ultrasound. However, we've been there with 3 kitties and suspect there will be medicine involved, so we are kindly asking for help in raising $300.
Please share quickly, thanks so much.
