The Story

Brian was involved in a motorcycle accident on November 8, 2016. He was hit by, what turns out to be, an under insured driver. He sustained a broken femur and his lower leg bones were shattered. He spent about 2 weeks in ICU, having 12 surgeries totaling 35 1/2 hours. His total time at Baystate was 4 weeks. Brian has been moved to a rehab facility here in Greenfield. His expected stay is unknown at this time as is the date he is expected to return to work.
Brian has been able to tap into his accrued time (vacation/sick time) through his job to continue receiving pay but that is about to run out. Unfortunately, the bills keep coming.
Brian is an upstanding member of his community, giving his time as Commandant (president) of the Marine Corps League - Oak Ridge Detachment, a non-profit organization that does fundraising for various charities to include Toys for Tots.
Would you please help us to raise money to help Brian while he is recovering for this horrendous accident? Any gift that you would make will be greatly appreciated!

Hey everyone, I want to post a quick update on Brian. He is still at Charlene Manor continuing with his rehabilitation. He's making great progress in the little time that he has been there. Brian was able to start to move his left leg as well as lift it in and out of his bed! That is pretty amazing considering the extent of injuries to that leg. Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed and continue to support Brian along the way. The pictures that were just posted are before and after x-rays of his lower leg. Let's all help continue to keep his morale up, it really does make a huge difference in his everyday life!

Thank you,

Matt
