My name is Brandy and I thought I had beat cancer. I was diagnosed with uterine cancer in the spring of 2014. I had a complete hysterectomy, chemo and radiation. I tried to maintain a positive attitude, of course there are days here and there that you don't feel positive but overall, I thought I was going to kick cancer's ass and get back to raising my 3 beautiful kids as a healthy mom.
Cancer had other plans. A few months after I finished radiation I went in for a scan and new tumors were found. I had just gotten to a point where I started to feel more like my normal self, so it was heartbreaking to know my fight was not over. I have since had a biopsy to confirm it was cancer and surgery to remove the tumors.
As a single mom, my budget was tight to begin with, since the last year and a half of surgeries, treatment, medications and all that goes with cancer treatment, my budget is just obliterated. Not only do I have my co-pays to cover, all my normal bills, but my GYN Oncologist is an 80 minute drive one way.
I was able to receive a little help last year through agencies and friends and it was awesome and got me through the hardest time in my life and I was so appreciative. Now hear I am having used what I help I could find and facing another year of my life going to cancer and treatment. I start chemo on the 17th of this month.
I am going to fight hard to win this battle but I could use some help. Bills piling up on top of daily life bills gets overwhelming quickly. So I am sucking up my pride and asking for help. Any help you can give is very appreciated and will assist me and my children immensely.
Thank you very much for even just taking the time to read this and if you could share it, that would be a help as well.
