Thanks to YouCaring, we have been able to quickly and easily raise funds to help a ten-year-old boy with cancer. YouCaring gives you everything you need, a home page with photo gallery and posts, the ability to accept credit card donations, and easily thank your donors. We couldn't have done it with you!
When my husband, Gunnar, received news that he would have to have open-heart surgery and would not be able to work for two or more months following, we were all devastated. The fear of potentially losing him, the unknowns around his surgery, and the concern of how to pay all the bills that would surely start rising were weighing heavily on my mind.
When I suggested that we were going to need help, my daughters told me about a crowdfunding site that didn't take a large percentage of the donations received. YouCaring was a wonderful find. They make setting up the fundraiser very easy and provide guidance and tips to maximize the experience. It is greatly appreciated. Supporters can also follow along with the campaign to see how it is going, and that keeps them in the loop.
Many thanks to the YouCaring team for the reminders and ongoing tips to keep us focused on our goal. It has been a blessing. I recommend the site to others in need. It is a great resource.
When there's a bad accident and emergency healthcare comes into play, the patient and close relatives only want to be thinking about healing, not about their healthcare costs. I used YouCaring because more of every dollar goes to the actual patient than the other funding websites and that's what's important right now as we fundraise.
YouCaring was the perfect fit for our family as we needed a fundraising site for the adoption of our daughter. It was so encouraging to see friends, family, and perfect strangers rally around us and take part in our growing family. It truly takes a village and YouCaring made that possible.
In November of 2015, Kim and her family received the devastating news that she had advanced inflammatory breast cancer. At only 36, Kim found herself as a wife, with 3 young children, working full time as a social worker, dealing with everyday stressors, and having to face new challenges. With the help and support of numerous family, friends, and generous strangers, Kim and her family continues to overcome. After more than a year and a half of battle, Kim's most recent scans have come back with no signs of cancer or metastasis. YouCaring was a great means for helping to raise awareness, funds, communicate, and network. Monies raised were used for vitamins, supplements, dinners when Kim couldn't cook, caring for her children, and an endless amount of medical bills. There were so many expenses that she didn't have to worry about. The love and support of so many were vital for helping to alleviate much stress and worry for Kim and her family. Thank you! Xoxo
I was diagnosed just a week after my 37 birthday with stage 2 triple negative invasive breast cancer. My husband and I were in complete shock and didn't know how we were going to tackle this alone. I was the stay at home for our 3 children. Our twin girls who were just 2 1/2 and son 8 1/2. My husband's job was demanding, to say the least. So when my husband had to take an extended leave without pay to care for me and our kids along with our 3 hr drive each way to my Drs appointments we learned very quickly we were going to need help.
That's when we found Youcaring. We have been unbelievably blessed by the outpouring of support and generous donations that have kept us going these past few months and we are praying the love and generosity continue so we can make through my cancer battle.
I don't know what we would have done without Youcaring!
YouCaring has proven to be a remarkable resource for our family as my wife battles breast cancer. Though the monetary support is extraordinarily helpful, it’s the community and support system that has developed around our story that has helped the most. The site is easy to use, making updated and photos simple to share with family and friends. My family would like to thank the YouCaring team from the bottom of our hearts.
I have a friend who has suffered from Chiari Malformation (a condition in which brain tissue extends into her spinal canal) for years. This causes her intense pain, yet she has been a light in many people's lives throughout all of that time regardless of her pain.
Her pain, however, grew so intense that surgery became necessary. She posted on Facebook about her sudden surgery (only 4 days away!), and it became evident from comments on her posts that many people where WANTING TO HELP! I started a YouCaring page, and within 2 days had raised over $10,000 from nearly 100 donors and generated over 600 shares on the page!
It's really quite touching how much people really WANT to help, they just need an avenue to do it. YouCaring has provided that avenue in a format that is easy to share and use.
Our family raised over $10,000 in less than two weeks for our adoption with YouCaring. It was quick and easy to share our story and keep our supporters up to date, and we could immediately thank donors from their website. The only fees taken out are for the payment processor and it's only 2.9%, best we found. They also sent helpful emails about how to succeed in our fundraiser. Our family is so grateful for YouCaring!
When we started our adoption process, there were times when we felt like we were running this long, grueling race alone.
We are so grateful for YouCaring. It is such a powerful tool that brings people with the same heart together. We are encouraged to have received so much love, blessing, and financial support through this site, and that we are no longer running this adoption race alone!
