I have a friend who has suffered from Chiari Malformation (a condition in which brain tissue extends into her spinal canal) for years. This causes her intense pain, yet she has been a light in many people's lives throughout all of that time regardless of her pain.
Her pain, however, grew so intense that surgery became necessary. She posted on Facebook about her sudden surgery (only 4 days away!), and it became evident from comments on her posts that many people where WANTING TO HELP! I started a YouCaring page, and within 2 days had raised over $10,000 from nearly 100 donors and generated over 600 shares on the page!
It's really quite touching how much people really WANT to help, they just need an avenue to do it. YouCaring has provided that avenue in a format that is easy to share and use.
Hi I'm Jennifer I spent the last 20 years of my life building a personal training business based on Pilates helping so many people get in shape, rehab and maintain there bodies in the most optimal fashion. On October 14 I was hit by a reckless driver as I was walking home from work. A walk I've done a million times. It was a freak accident in a semi - residential street. I was in the cross walk - not texting, no headphones. The accident left both my legs shattered, a gash on my head and $400,000.000 in medical bill and unable to work.
As far as people say I was lucky, no internal or brain damage. Lots of people came to my rescue especially my dearest best friend Autumn and my agent Christine who had the idea to set up a fundraising page for me using youcaring.com.
It helped tremendously in a desperate time of need and distress. I was in awe of how many friends and acquaintances came through to help me. If it wasn't for my YouCaring page I really don't know what I would of done.
I am pretty much healed now miraculously and starting to try and rebuild my business. Still a bit of soft tissue damage and swelling but doctors expect a complete recovery. I am beyond grateful and can't thank everyone enough. None of this could of been possible without this site.
WOW! Where do I begin! First off, thank you so much YouCaring for having a free platform which states from the beginning of our experiences with you that "YOU CARE!" The support from the site alone is amazing! The tips to make your fundraiser a success for your emergency needs, the reminders to post you updates...it's wonderful! I'm a 52 year old mother of 3 and diagnosed with pituitary carcinoma in 2009. I've had to leave my job and rely on disability and still have major medical bills and expenses! I've been in remission three times so I'm praying is going to be one more after seeing specialist in Chicago. I've never depended on public assistance, never asked anyone for anything to help when there were times I needed it, I've worked my entire life and now that I'm unable to work, trying to get medical assistance has been an ordeal! I'm positive, always wearing a smile, always encouraged and my faith is strong! It hasn't been a week since I've started this fundraising path and is going great. Even if people can't donate, the information is getting it there which has reunited me with so many classmates and friends so that's a plus in itself! For anyone who is experiencing medical hardships or any unexpected, financial emergency crisis in your life, YouCaring is the format I suggest and recommend. I'm totally in disbelief that so many people have donated, extended well wishes and contacted me to offer assistance. This wouldn't have been possible for me personally had I not decided to give YouCaring a try! I can't thank you enough!
Wow! I am amazed at the generosity and loving support extended by so many people who have responded to the YouCaring fundraiser I posted on my private Facebook page last Thursday evening. Within 72 hours of the first posting, half of the fundraising goal of $30,000 had been reached by the combined efforts of nearly 100 generous donors. Over 570 people have shared the post. My niece, who is the beneficiary of the fundraiser, is not only being blessed by the financial contributions to assist with costly cancer treatments, she is also blessed by the kind messages shared for her on the Facebook posts and the YouCaring website. She is well aware and filled with gratitude for the hundreds of people, known and unknown to her, who have rallied for her, prayed for her, and sent loving thoughts her way. What a beautiful thing!
I’m not one to usually review things or give testimonials, but I can wholeheartedly say that YouCaring, along with family and friends, has helped us stay above water. On October 29th, my brother (31 y/o) was the victim of a life-threatening stroke. He only had about a 25% chance of living the first three months. He wasn’t even expected to say alive after the first week, so obviously, my mom and I took the time off, thinking he was going to pass. We wanted whatever time we had left. But he was a miracle and with each week and month that passed, he lived and is getting better much to the surprise of the entire hospital.
He was our main breadwinner, and our bills, both hospital and regular, were mounting. YouCaring helped us easily set up a fundraiser and gave us the comfort of not being like similar but much greedier companies. We only had to worry about my brother this entire time, I don’t know what we would’ve done without YouCaring. We’ve been blessed.
I chose YouCaring initially because of their business practices and lower fee system. However, I have been so impressed with the ease of setting up and managing the fundraiser for Amy Crowley. It has literally reached her friends and family all over the world through a few social shares. Remarkable. So grateful to the whole YouCaring team for creating a platform that's not only easy to use, but that connects so many. Thank you!
I have used YouCaring to raise money for other families. One was a set of boys who lost their father suddenly. We were able to raise enough to cover the whole funeral. Last January a friend made a YouCaring campaign for me when I had a serious accident. It was a very easy process both giving and receiving via this site.
We are so thankful for the YouCaring fundraising site! We appreciate having a platform to raise funds for our daughter's medical treatment that does not charge fees. The site is user friendly and we like the ease with which we can send our supporters a Thank You E-mail.
Our 8 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with DIPG brain cancer. We are so thankful to all who have supported Team Julianna!
When our 4-year-old daughter was diagnosed with cancer, our entire lives changed forever.
One of the greatest needs that became quickly apparent was financial. As we lived in her hospital room for 2 months before being medi-flight transported to St. Jude in Memphis, bills back at home continued. Our lives seemed to stop, but the world moved on.
During her 9 month battle, and after her death, we were blessed by family members, strangers, neighbors, and friends who went online and gave. From a few dollars to hundreds of dollars, the love and gifts provided our family with funds when we needed them desperately.
We especially loved the low cost of YouCaring. Unlike some of the other platforms, we were able to receive more of the funds given, which in our time of great need, every amount helped.
We would give anything to have our baby girl back in our arms. The journey we traveled was incredibly difficult. Having an online community walk this journey supporting us, and loving on my family, let us know we were not alone. Even in the darkest hours, there was love.
We can't thank YouCaring enough for helping us fund our dream. Our dream and fundraising adventure wouldn't be the same without YouCaring's support. It's been a true humbling experience asking others to fund our dream family and YouCaring is helping that dream come to life with their free fundraising platform.
