This week is Pet Appreciation Week, June 5-11, 2016. Consider a donation to help a needy animal. YouCaring highlights several dog fundraisers below. Support their wellbeing and the people who struggle to pay for their care. If you or someone you know needs to raise money to support a pet in need, consider creating a fundraiser.
1. Save Max the Boxer Puppy
This boxer puppy needs your support. Max was brought into a local veterinarian to be treated for a high fever and paralysis. Fortunately, he can move his legs, but cannot stand or walk yet. Doctors are still unsure of what is wrong with the poor pup. Max’s owners urgently need donations to help cover veterinary costs. Read Max’s full story and support him by donating here.
2. Gunner Recovers from a Rattlesnake
Gunner began his life as a stray until Shelly and Peyton rescued him to start a new life. Today, Shelly and Peyton say they are healthy because this selfless dog saved them from a rattlesnake. Unfortunately, Gunner suffered a rattlesnake bite and required emergency care. To help with care bills for Gunner, please visit his fundraiser page.
3. Puppies Ready for Adoption
Daviess County Animal Control (DCAC) is extremely full and needs the public’s help! They have many dogs, including 30 puppies that need loving homes. To read more on their story and donate, click here.
4. Help Bosley Get Well
Bosley was found with two other dogs in critical condition in a field, after vets said they were all attacked by other dogs and abused by a human for a long period of time. Bosley has wounds, punctures, and bites on his entire body. He is in desperate need of medical attention and donations to fully recover. Please visit his fundraising page and donate here.
5. Help Save Zina’s Legs
Beautiful six-month-old Zina was saved by BnJ Rescue last month from another shelter. After an examination, a vet concluded that Zina was beaten with a blunt object, likely from her prior owners. Zina’s medical costs and surgeries could be upward of $12,000, but BnJ Rescue is trying anything to save this young girl’s life. Please consider helping young Zina find a better life here.
6. Puppy Alistair
After five days in his new loving home, Alistair became quite ill. When his new family took him to the vet, they learned that he has been infected with Parvo Virus. This virus is highly contagious and often fatal, especially for puppies. Alistair has been treated, but his family is faced with significant vet bills. Read the entire story and help Alistair and his family by donating here.
