They had a great setup in the hotel ballroom, and you could follow all the action on a couple of projection screens, with an additional viewing area in the lounge. We saw some amazing speed runs on everything from Super Metroid to Minecraft to Tetris played on practically every console ever invented it seemed. The action was relentless for six days and nights.
Of course, gamers need fuel for that kind of a gaming marathon, so we were happy to provide some pizza and soda to keep everyone on top of their game. They must have put all those carbs and caffeine to good use, as we saw several new records set over the six-day event. We met some great people, and had an awesome time cheering on some of the best speedrunners in the world.
It was great to see the gaming community follow on Twitch and raise so much money for a fantastic cause! The gaming community is amazing!
