In the spirit of the building where our San Francisco office is located—alongside several prominent art galleries— YouCaring.com opens its arms to imagination. We recently launched our YouCaring Compassion in Action Gallery, which marries art and philanthropy.
The gallery is a hub of arts, education and inspiration, aiming to instill in visitors an appreciation for creativity and the power of kindness. We strongly believe ordinary people can do extraordinary things when they combine their passion with compassion and translate their good intentions into kind actions.
We showcase art events in various mediums—from painting and photography to literature and music—with a complementary online YouCaring fundraiser for a nonprofit or humanitarian cause with which the artist is aligned.
Sunsets Instead of Bombs
One of our most recent exhibits showcased artist Sofia Carmi and her exhibit Sunsets Instead of Bombs. Carmi is an Israeli-American artist now based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She lived on the border of Jerusalem during heavy periods of shelling. Acupuncture helped cure her post traumatic stress disorder, and she was introduced to it through her late husband and artist partner, Brent Bushnell. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who recently died of pancreatic cancer.
The show was presented along with a fundraiser for a cause she holds dear to her heart: Acupuncturists Without Borders, a nonprofit that seeks to foster the creation of stable, peaceful global communities through its community-based acupuncture services and training that address the cycles of unresolved trauma.
Stay tuned for other upcoming events!
