Every parent dreams of having a beautiful and healthy child, unfortunately due to unknown factors children are sometimes born into difficult situations. This can cause parents to be placed into unforeseen circumstances that take a toll on their lives in many ways. The most obvious form of burden can be financially, in this post we want to show how to raise money for a baby born with rare congenital birth defect.
Baby Callie is the beautiful new born daughter of Nikki and Warren Linscott. Callie was tragically born with a rare congenital birth defect that effects only 1 in 100,000 to 1 in a 1,000,000 children. It is and aneurism in the brain that occurs when the veins and arteries in a child’s brain form a direct connection. The mortality rate for this condition used to be extremely high, but thanks to developments in modern medicine it is treatable with a high success rate. A top expert in treating Callie’s condition has reviewed her case in NYC and is willing to take on her case. Unfortunately this means that the family will have to leave their toddler Reese, and travel to New York City for long amounts of time. All of their travel will add up very quickly, and is an added expense to an already building pile of medical bills. To help out the Linscott family, friends Jami and Suzie have created a free online medical expend fundraiser to help cover all of the Linscotts travel expenses and medical bills. Their goal is to raise $25,000, all of this money will go directly into an account set up for the Linscotts, free of charge or fees.
