The Story

Exactly two weeks before my birthday, I learned that a dear friend and brother of mine has been arrested. His past caught up with him; but praise the Lord that, though imprisoned, he is free from his past! Staying close to God in that environment, however, is difficult - especially without a Bible. And think of the thousands of inmates who do not even know God yet, and have little means of learning of Him!

This year for my birthday (September 17), I would like to raise at least $3,000 to donate to Bible 4 Prisoners. For nearly 10 years, this ministry has sought to benefit those who are otherwise unable to find God; and Heaven has blessed by revealing Himself to those willing captives. While they cannot be freed from human imprisonment, they can be made free from the enemy's bondage; and though they may have to suffer for the crimes they have committed, Christ has paid their eternal penalty; and they can experience forgiveness and a new life in their Savior.

Although there are only 13 days until my birthday, I believe that God can do miraculous things. "Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that gives it willingly with his heart you shall take my offering" (Exodus 25:2, AKJV).
