The Story

I first saw Betty on the SSPCA's website 3 years ago. She was a mess, but the instant I saw her my heart jumped and I knew I would love her forever. It took 2 days to finally meet her. Every time I went out there she was away at an event somewhere. Finally we got together. They brought her out to an exercise area to meet us. I held her up to show my grandmother and Betty jumped onto Grammas lap. That's where she remained.
This summer Bettys age began to catch up to her. Her eyesight faded she slept more and she started having accidents. Her blood sugar has recently been low despite her eating well and a few days ago she began crying out for no apparent reason. I don't know what's happening and nothing I'm doing seems to be helping. Betty needs to see her vet. She has an appointment at PetCare this Wednesday. I need $46 for the office visit and additional funds for the tests she's sure to need.
I hate to trouble anyone, but circumstances have left me in a financial bind. If some of you could spare even a few dollars I would be so grateful for the help.

I would like to thank everyone for their support. Betty is doing very good. Hasn't had anymore episodes and we are working on putting back on the weight she lost over the summer. Thank you again. I appreciate your help more than I can express.

Betty is doing much better. She hasn't cried out for a while and is more interested in what's going on around her, but I still need help to pay the rest of the bill. Anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated. Even a small amount can make a difference.

Betty's tests came back. Her albumin was slightly low, red blood cells were just on the low end of normal and the liver was normal. Her blood glucose was on the low end of normal with a 73. Normal is 70-150.
I had already started spreading Betty's meals out 3-4 times a day instead of twice a day. Dr. McRoberts said to keep doing that and recommended starting some senior vitamins. She also said to give Betty a 1/4 Bonine to see if that helps with the equilibrium issue.
Betty still sleeps a lot, but when she's awake she's interested in her surroundings and her balance seems to be improved.
I'm so grateful for everyone's help in getting her seen. I still need to pay the balance. The total came to $133. With the $45 we've already received that leaves $88, but I don't want to dump all my responsibility on others. If Betty and I could get just another $55 I think I can manage the last $33. Any help at all, even just a few dollars, would most appreciated.
