Becky Boudreaux has been my son Ryan's preschool teacher at St. Peter's Early Childhood Development Center for the past 3 years. She's the most kind-hearted and giving person I know. Now, they are the ones suffering and it's our turn to help them.
The Boudreaux family, Becky, Ryan's preschool teacher, Nathan her husband, a graphic designer, and three boys, Trent (14), Carson (12), and Zachary (11), lived in Canyon Gate subdivision in Katy, TX when Hurricane Harvey hit. They were one of the families whose house was inundated with water when they had to release water from the Barker Reservoir so that the dam would not break. Their home received more than 4 feet of water and it's still flooded as we speak. At 3:30 they were emergency evacuated by boats and eventually made it to a friend's house (normally only 20 min away) by 8:45. They had to leave all their belongings behind. They moved here 2 years ago as a church plant from Louisiana and unfortunately were renting this home, did not have renter's or flood insurance. Even the belongings on the second floor are going to be unsalvageable because of mold. They have lost absolutely everything and nothing is going to be covered. The water is not even projected to recede for 5 weeks. They have to start their lives completely over. They are always thinking of others so them asking for help comes very unnaturally. This is why I need to reach out to friends and family. If you would rather send me a check in Becky Boudreaux's name or send a gift card, private message me for my mailing address. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and God Bless.
