Art City needs our help. Founded in 1997 by internationally acclaimed artist Wanda Koop, Art City is committed to providing *free* professional art programming to inner-city children. They host six out-reach centres and provide nutritional snacks to dozens of hungry West Broadway children, six days a week, 52 weeks a year.
Art City is all that and much more. It is the heart and soul of the West Broadway neighbourhood. Indeed for many it is a lifeline. Art City is a place that fills the cracks in social programming and accessible mental health. Art City is a beacon of possibility, a place of hope, a bed of positivity.
Presently Art City is in financial distress and call upon us to move our feet.
When you pray, move your feet... African proverb.
On Sunday, December 3, 2017 I am moving my feet for Art City. I will run 10 loops of the Wolseley Avenue/Wellington Crescent trail for a combined total of 20 bridge crossings and 58 kilometers (36 miles). Start time is 6:00 AM from my home at 1004 Palmerston Avenue. My goal is to raise $3000 for Art City.
Please join me. Like and share this page. Run, walk, cycle, wheel a loop or two with me. Throw money at me as I pass. Make a donation. Move YOUR feet for Art City.
