The Story

With your support, my 16-yr-old daughter will be able to cover the expenses of her book launch. The book is a self-help book for teenagers with incarcerated parents. However, younger children and even parents can benefit from the guide book. It provides a look into what goes on in the mind of a child who is dealing with the shame and anger of having a parent in prison.

This book is a labor of love. It is intended to be a comfort for the children and parents coping in this age of mass incarceration.

The foreword is provided by professors, journalists, and philanthropists who know first-hand the impact of mass imprisonment on families. This is a global epidemic.

Donors who contribute $100 or more will be mailed an autographed copy of this book as a token of appreciation for their support.

Teen Guide to Living With Incarcerated Parents #TGLWIP will be released in early 2018. Thank you in advance for your support!

On this journey of helping my teen daughter with writing and publishing her first book. ii have come across some amazing people. My friend Baz is one of them. Thanks so much for being one of Anye's Champions, Baz!

The fact that you took the time to share the following thoughts for this book is simply humbling:

This indispensable work is powerful yet concise, informed by years of experience grappling with the brokenness produced by our criminal justice system's commitment to mass incarceration. It is evidence that love and healing can triumph over hate and harm, if one has the commitment to put in the work.
