My uncle and aunt, Andrew & Kim White, are waiting to adopt a baby. The baby will be my newest cousin, and I'm excited to meet them. In America, where they live, it costs a lot of money to do this, so I've set myself a challenge to run 10k to raise some of the money that they will need.
I'm 7 years old now, and have run 5k a few times with my Dad, but I don't think that many 7 year olds can run a 10k. I've started training, and will do the run in September 2015. I will log it on RunKeeper and post the results here to show you when I've done it.
I want to raise $750 or £500 to help Uncle Andrew & Auntie Kim. The money will be used by them to pay for the doctors and nurses who look after my new cousin and his or her mummy in hospital when they are born.
Please could you help me to help them in this way by sponsoring me to run?
FROM EZRA'S PARENTS:
Ezra's uncle, Andrew, and his wife Kim, live in Northwest USA. They are in the process of adopting, and the costs - unlike in the UK - can be in the region of $30-40,000. Ezra and his brother are both wanting to help raise part of these funds to help pave the way for their new cousin, and this 10k is Ezra's idea. Ezra's Dad will be organising, training and running the 10k with Ezra, in September 2015 in the UK. Ezra can currently run a 5k, but will be pushing himself hard to go to 10k: he is 7 years old, and this will be a meaningful challenge for him.
When he has run the 10k, we'll post pictures, results and times, as well as proof from the RunKeeper app on my phone (which he will carry). Thank you for your involvement and support.
