We are raising $3,000 to cover the cost of getting ATHA presenters in front of more policy makers in Oregon in 2018.
Despite some notable wins, living tiny hasn’t become easily possible, or even legal, in most places in the United States, including Oregon.
We are asking for your help to change that.
Even the amazing first-time-through success of Appendix Q, which added tiny houses on fixed foundation to the international building code, has left an enormous amount of work to be done. Almost every political jurisdiction in the United States has yet to consider adopting it.
ATHA sees a vital current and ongoing need to provide policy makers alternative housing solutions that include tiny houses (in all of their varied forms). Tiny houses can be used to address community housing issues nationwide, including, affordability, homelessness, and disaster relief/recovery.
We are launching a 50 state effort—beginning in Oregon— to provide policy makers with the information they will need to make best use of tiny housing.
Achieving success in Oregon will help us eventually, make ‘living tiny’ legal across the country. We believe we all should have choices when it comes to affordable, sustainable and safe housing. We sincerely hope you will join us in our efforts.
We are hoping that those of you who want to be able to find a place to live tiny, or who want to build tiny houses, or who just love the idea of it will see the value of helping us work to create more legal places for living tiny.
If you donate $30 or more you become an ATHA member (look here). 100 percent of your donation goes to support ATHA Oregon's work.
Thanks for helping out.
