The Story

After 10 years of trying to have a baby, 4 miscarriages, many tears, and much heartache, Allyson (Ferris) and Tony Ponto are pregnant with quadruplets!!!  I cannot think of a more deserving set of parents who truly want to experience the joy of having and raising children together.

We all know how expensive raising one child can be, but imagine having 4 newborns at once!  Allyson will no longer be able to work beginning in the near future.  Her loss of income, coupled with many trips back and forth from Hoyt Lakes to Minneapolis for doctor appointments, will lead to great financial strain for her and Tony when the newborns arrive.

Any donation you are able to contribute will be very much appreciated!  Allyson and Tony do not have to pay any fees on your donations through this site.  All money donated will be used for travel expenses related to doctor appointments and expenses for the babies.  All reusable things bought for the babies will be donated when they are no longer needed.  Thank you for your generosity!  Allyson, Tony, and the Peas appreciate your support more than you will ever know!!!

You may have heard of the blog Allyson created, 4 Peas in a Ponto.  She originally created this blog so others experiencing infertility issues could find hope and approach her with questions.  Allyson also wanted to help erase the stigma associated with infertility and in-vitro fertilization.  Additionally, the blog has become an excellent way for friends and followers near and far to watch the Ponto’s journey unfold.  Like and share the 4 Peas in a Ponto page so you can be part of their crazy journey as well!

Holy moly !!! What a difference a week makes. !!!! All of the girls had their ivs removed today which is a major accomplishment !!!! It is so hard to take them out of their "incubators" when they are attached !!! You have to be so careful !!!! But no more of that(unless they don't tolerate my milk ) which is awesome !
We got to give Carolyn and Morgan baths today !!!! It was the highlight of my day for sure!!!!! Morgan love love loved it !!! She was all smiles ! Carolyn on the other hand wasn't fond of it hahaha .
It was great to get to help out the nurses!!!! They are seriously so wonderful here . They take such good care of the peas and we appreciate them more than ever !
All of the girls continue to eat well and their food volume goes up every day . They have added some fortifier to my milk to help them put on some more weight also .
It's all sinking in I think finally ..... WE HAVE 4 BABY GIRLS ..... and we are through the moon excited!!!!
Brooklyn will be coming to see them soon and she told me today she can't wait !!!!!! She has been so wonderful through all of this!!!! Such a mature young lady and we are so proud of her !
That's all for our one week update .
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR MESSAGES MEANS SO MUCH TO US !!!! Keep the prayers and well wishes coming!!!!!! How did we get so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family ???? We love you all !!!

Update on the peas :
Olivia and Anna are in their own room and Morgan and Carolyn share one also . They are right next to each other so it's super easy for Tony and I to transition back and forth . Morgan is under the billy light because she was a little jaundice but they feel that they will be able to remove that . Carolyn will be completely off her ivs tonight and Morgan will be tomorrow 😀 !!! Because Olivia and Anna are smaller they will continue on the ivs until they put on some extra weight. All of the girls have been taken off caffeine (helps remind them to breathe) because they don't need it anymore but they will be watched super close in case they need to be reminded by a gentle touch . Their feedings continue to increase with out any complications which is awesome ! I can't wait to breast feed and hold
Them when they are ready !!!! They all had brain scans today and all of them checked out great except for Carolyn . She had a little bruise that they saw but it wasn't anything major, our neonatologist told us new born are born with it sometimes too it's nothing to be afraid about. I promise to post pictures of them all tonight .
Tony and I are able to spend time in the special care nursery now that I am. Not in so much pain. So we will get on the picture taking 😀
We are no longer in the Ronald McDonald onsite and we are waiting to get into the off site one but that can take up to 2 1/2 weeks..... so we are going to take it day by day. We can stay in special care nursery for two nights but then we are looking at hotel stays for the rest 😳. Not cheap !!! But we are thankful they have places For us with low cost or free . As for me I am Going to nap quick here while I can . Love you all 💗💗💗💗
