There have been over fifty homes that have been affected by the flooding in the city of Pocahontas, Arkansas and Randolph County. For many of these it is a repeat of the 2011 flood. Several of these homeowners have no flood insurance so the repairs will be paid out of pocket. Since this happened only six years ago the officials are not sure about government help at this time. The money raised through this site and other donations given to us, will be used to directly help those affected. This may include home repairs, replacement of household furnishings, or other things needed to get the displaced residents resettled. The Pocahontas Ministerial Alliance will work directly with local officials such as County Judge, Mayor and OEM director to make sure those most needy will be assisted first. We are in the process of working on applications for assistance so that we can track who we assist and how they were assisted. Any money distributed must pass through the Alliance Board for approval before it is given. Thank you in advance for considering this need. We as the Pocahontas Ministerial Alliance make a promise to use ALL donations for the flood victims affected in the Pocahontas area.
