It's time to step up for the hardest working rider and writer in bicycle safety and advocacy.
A great guy, dear friend, tireless advocate and champion for cyclists of every stripe, a top-notch journalist and one of my literary partners in grime, Alan Snel
was badly injured recently after being hit by a car from behind.
The incident that put Alan in the ICU took place in Fort Pierce, Florida. He was badly injured and is unable to work at the present time. He needs our help with medical and living expenses while he starts a long, but what we hope will be, a full recovery.
Please give what you are able for a man who has helped so many - whose promotion of bike safety and infrastructure gave places like Tampa, Fl. its bike lanes. Keep him in your thoughts while you work in your own communities to promote cycling infrastructure, driver awareness and bicycle safety.
And please share this campaign far and wide so the giving is amplified.
Note: This fund goes directly into Alan's bank account. I've organized it as the official giving campaign at the request of his family, friends and my own deeply held belief that we must be there for each other in times of need.
