Posted on August 8, 2014Today when I was thinking about Karli and what her referral had stated when it said she was abandoned at one day old. I had to wonder about that . . . It is illegal to abandon your children so I wonder if a friend or family member took her and dropped her behind a dumpster and someone heard her crying? Or was she abandoned on a bench in hopes someone would find her? One day old! At one day old she would have missed out on her mothers tender hold. The babies in orphanages are not held, even when fed. There aren't enough caregivers to do so. To think of this special little girl growing up and watching many of her friends leaving with their adoptive families. She must have stayed awake many nights dreaming about a mom and dad who would come and get her. She said that she wants to be adopted and come to America. Karli, we made a promise to you that we would do everything in our power to get you home, but we see now that it is going to take the Power of God to accomplish this! Thank you Lord for getting us this far. Thank you all for your prayers!

Posted on August 4, 2014It is so overwhelming to see so many people helping with Karli's adoption! Many in the adoption world knows just how much crying you do during the process and today I have been even more emotional than usual! Thank you to all my friends and family for all your support, love, and especially your prayers! Thank you for all the donations we received today!
