We are the Robinson Family (Bill, Kristin, William, and Emma) and we are so excited to be adopting a teenage boy and a young girl from China! Both of these children have been diagnosed with cerebral palsy and are in need of special medical care.
Peter, age 13, was abandoned at 8 years old and only weighed 28 pounds at the time. He could not talk or walk when he was found. Thankfully, he is now thriving under the loving, gentle care of his foster family in China. He can now walk, run and loves playing soccer! He ages out on July 1st, 2015, so we are RACING to get to him!!!
Rebecca lives in a separate province of China and just turned 5. She was abandoned at age 2. She has a more severe form of cerebral palsy. Sadly, we learned that she spends her entire day in a stroller with a bed pan. Her neck, back and leg muscles have atrophied from lack of use (there are just not enough resources to provide adequate care at her orphanage). She was also recently hospitalized due to complications related to a recent illness.
The fees associated with both adoptions, as well as travel to and from China, exceed $40,000. We are hoping to raise some of these funds through YouCaring, along with grants provided by Reece's Rainbow, and other fundraising efforts, such as our new company Christian Warrior Wear (www.christianwarriorwear.com).
