When we were little we dreamed of having a family. We never considered
the obstacles we would encounter. When Andy and I were married we thought
our story would be like everyone elses: get married, buy a house and start
a family. We were living our dream and our story was like a fairy tale.
We did not know the hurdles we would have to overcome. We never thought
we would struggle with infertility. We understood, because of my blood
clotting abnormality, that my pregnancies would be a challenge, but we
were not prepared for the heartache.
As in any great story we have experienced great happiness and great loss.
With the help of our amazing doctor we had three pregnancies. Two ended
in miscarriage and the third was a tubal pregnancy. We know God has a
perfect plan for us. We trust this to be true. And after the tubal
pregnancy and risk to my life, we decided it was time to explore adoption?lt;/span>
as a means of fulfilling our dream of starting a family.
Our journey has taken us to China. China is a country where children with
disabilities and baby girls are often cast aside. For multiple reasons we
cannot comprehend, these precious little ones are left out on the street,
abandoned. Once found they are taken to an orphanage and await adoption.
Our hearts ache for these children, they are in need of parents, and we
are in need of a child. So it is with great joy we announce, we have
begun the adoption process to adopt a baby girl from China!
Our application has been accepted, and now we are turning to you, our
friends and family to ask for your help. Please join us in making our
dreams a reality. We want to bring one of these very special children
into our family. We have set up a “youcaring.com
” web site chronicalling our story. We are asking you to come alongside in prayer, support and financial sponsorship.
Our next steps include saving and raising the $26,000 to sponsor the adoption of our daughter. We are scheduling home visitsand working through the piles of paperwork leading up to a trip to China where we will finally meet our little girl and bring her home. We expect the process to take approximately 18 months. Imagine, our little girl will be born soon, or she may have already taken her first breath!
Having a family is such a gift. Thank you for being a part of our journey
