Posted on January 5, 2018Happy New Year! It's hard to believe we started Adam's Brain Savers a year ago! We were very successful in that we gave away almost 300 Bell helmets, that Adam and his friends designed and each one was personally signed by Adam. We had a fun event at the Concord Boys and Girls Club where we gave out 175 helmets. The next event was at Abbot Downing School where we gave 75 more. The final event was the Rundlett Middle School Ready to Learn Fair where we gave away the rest. Adam was there at each event and he engaged nicely with the kids, they listened to his story and promised to not only wear a helmet, but elbow pads and knee pads if they are going to skateboard. Adam and I also met with the local Domino's pizza owner, he has a program where he works with the Concord Police Department, when the police see a kid wearing a helmet either biking or skateboarding, they give the kid a voucher for free pizza. Going forward we are going to work behind the scenes to raise awareness for wearing a helmet. The helmet project was fun but very time consuming so we will plan to volunteer at agencies who promote helmet safety. Thanks for everyone who donated and supported this endeavor, we had no idea how successful it would become and are very grateful for all of the support and love.

Posted on August 25, 2017What a wonderful spring and summer we have experienced! We thank you all for your support for this meaningful project. We gave away 276 of Adam's Brain Savers helmets through out the Concord community. Our first project was with the Concord Boys and Girls Club. We then went to the Concord Skate Board Park and gave away helmets to skateboarders. The last event was Wednesday, we were invited to attend and participate in the Concord Ready To Learn Fair held at Rundlett Middle School. Overall, it was a very successful year. Thanks everyone!
