The Story

Hello,

This fundraiser has been designed to raise a non-profit allotment to cover the cost and training of a service dog being provided through http://www.vomdreifkeshepherds.com/home. The member who will be receiving the dog has been active duty over a period of four years and will be transitioning into civilian life within the following year. He was diagnosed with severe social anxiety and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder within the following year, in August 2016. This opportunity to receive a service dog companion has been highly recommended by many of his providers to help provide a stronger coping mechanism within the community and home life with his family. Between duties and military stress related experiences he has had to use continual use of medication to remain stable in his day to day routines. This chance to have a companion that provides personal security to his traumatic related triggers will allow him the best chance to become himself again within the social community and home life. This has been a strong learning experience, and a deep struggle for him to overcome the sense of pride, and to let his guard down to allow others around him to understand his struggles and provide support. Like many veterans they have all faced many daunting task that will forever be embedded in their hearts and minds. The puppy he will be receiving arrives at the end of Feb 2017. At which time she will live and bond with him and our family, including his one year old son, over a following period of six months. This opportunity has already provided him with such a strong sense of finding a new hope to overcome the obstacles in which he has been facing. After six months of bonding with the member and our family, the puppy will follow a strict 6-9 month training program from the professionals at Warriors Heart Ranch to become certified to follow him in all of his travels and endeavors of life. The puppy will be a female named Eros, coming from a strong bloodline of Czech German Shepard and Dutch Malinois. She was born January 3, 2017 by way of Sire V1 Diablo Vom Dreifke who is Czech Shepard and by way of Dam Sniper who is a purebred Dutch Shepard Mailnois. Any donation is highly respected and it is intended to be paid forward by continuously fundraising in the future within local communities for Veterans and service members that follow after in need of help and emotional support. An online blog will be created after receiving Eros to keep all donors and veterans alike updated their bond and journey together. God bless and thank you all for your time and efforts!
