As we're all aware, wildfires have the people of Sonoma, Napa, and Mendocino counties fighting for their lives, their homes, and their land. Thousands of people have been evacuated, thousands of homes have been lost, and the fires still rage on. This tragic destruction is impacting our friends, families, employees, and our greater community, and their need for short- and long-term support is significant.
In response to our desire to do something to help those who are displaced, we have formed a group who is quickly building systems and calling on other resources to help by first providing meals. The needs are greater than delivering breakfast one day or dinner the next, which is where you come in. As a group, we are harnessing the power of our community of restaurants & food purveyors with the idea that by focusing all those who are wanting to help, we will be most effective.
We need your help with maintaining these efforts in the coming weeks and months. Rebuilding will be a long process; we're committed to helping the community for as long as they need us.
This tragedy will not define us, our response will. Any action, no matter how small, is helpful and greatly appreciated.
