On March 24th 2018 one of our partner schools which 35 of our sponsored children attend CAUGHT FIRE. Nobody was injured but so many materials have been destroyed. Hundreds of textbooks, paper, pencils, pens, chalk, rulers, calculators - all gone.
The 1000+ children who attend this school are al from very vulnerable and poor backgrounds. These children depend on this school and will be SEVERELY affected. We urgently need to minimise the effect this damage will have to the children’s education.
We have worked so hard with this school and through our micro farming social enterprise at the school, we had managed to recently upgrade their education resources, dedecorated and had new windows put in. This tragedy has reversed all this incredible hard work and the children of the community will immensely suffer.
We urgently need to replenish the school supplies. There is structual damage but our immediate need is to replace the children’s learning materials and supplies.
PLEASE help. Every single pound will make a big difference to this school. We can’t leave it like this. Please help these 1000+ vulnerable children continue their hard work and learning, this is going to be a huge shock and dissapointment for everyone.
