Did you know that the number 2 highest cause of death among children ages 1-4 is drowning? Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) replies to that statistic in their mission statement "Not One More Child Drowns." Founded in 1966 by Dr. Harvey Barnett, ISR is now the global leader in the industry it pioneered: survival swimming lessons for infants and young children.
I full heartedly want to become an ISR instructor and serve the families in the Seattle area. Within the past month I have become passionate about ISR mission and in awe of the direct impact they are having in the communities they serve. Lives are being changed and saved because of ISR.
I am a mother of a 19 mo old baby boy and have become so moved about how much my little guy could benefit from these lessons. But there is not an instructor in the area. Hence why I am fully committed to becoming an instructor. I know that I can make a positive impact in my community by serving the families who live in the Seattle area. By becoming an ISR Instructor I can make a difference in peoples’ lives.
The funds raised will be used to pay for the ISR Instructor training program, to get CPR and First Aid training, and to cover for traveling accommodations as I will have to travel to the location for 6 weeks. As a bonus I am offering anyone who would be so generous to donate $500 or more, free lessons for one child once I become certified.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
