Shafer has no handicap accessible play ground equipment. The school has held fundraisers and received donations but the majority of the student body does not have physical or mental handicaps that impare their ability to play on the equipment provided by the school. Therefore, the playground equipment being purchased is still not handicap accessible.
When Emma heard of this she asked if she could help by donating her allowance. When I explained how much it cost she was sad. After a few days she asked if we could do a fundraiser. Then a few days after that she started asking me to help her make a list of people that could help. Since her passion for this is still going I have offered to help her pull off a real fundraiser.
We need to raise about $25,000 to cover the cost of the item plus shipping plus installation.
If you can help in any way please consider helping. Emma would be happy to come to you personally and thank you for your help. She is very excited to report that she has raised $7,000 already.
Thank you so much
