A LIFETIME OF TRAVEL IN ONE YEAR!

Our sweet boy has been diagnosed with USHER SYNDROME. According to the Doctors, he is expected to lose his vision within the next year. Of course we are always holding out hope for a little vision to remain or stay at least a few years but in the meantime, we need to act... and now!

We will be preparing him by sending him to camps for the deaf (he was born hard of hearing) and blind each summer until the end of High School. They will be teaching him braille, how to use a cane and guide dog and most importantly, how to function in the world and acquire skills for future employment. We also want him to SEE THE WORLD!

We don't want him to miss out on the beauties of different countries, culture and people. We want him to see Rome, Paris and London. We want him to be able to compare China, Japan and India. We would even love for him to do a Humanitarian project in Africa so that he knows that each person on this Earth has a trial to bear. We want him to experience and know for himself what a wonderful and diverse world we live in.

If you find it in your heart to help us, Thank You.

I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone. Not only did we reach our goal but we received so many kind words and support and we feel so truly loved. Thank you for that.

One of our first tasks this summer is to help brenden setup his own website. We will use this website to publish pictures from his travels and give family and friends updates on where we are going. I will be sure to let everyone know when the website is up and running.

Also, our good friend Dakota put together a video of the event and I think it does an excellent job capturing how the event went. Thanks again Dakota.
