We have an inspirational group of passionate AATO Kids!

And many other programs that desperately need your support to continue.

All of these programs survive solely on your generous support!  So far into 2013, AATO has helped over 100 animals so far, plus the 100 or so more that we already support daily, through existing programs!  Plus what we donated to the Wildlife Rehab Center and all their animals!  Point is, your donations are making a huge difference to hundreds of local animals!  Just scroll through our photo albums to see your money, and our volunteer hard at work every day!

Funding is very low and demand for help is very high!  We hate to turn anyone away, but without Foster homes and Funding to Vet them, we just can not save them all!  Although we certainly do try!

Please consider supporting such a worthy cause, and know that 100% of your donations will help Animals Against The Odds in Pa/Oh/Wv/Md area.

Thank you very much for your generous donations that allow us to continuing saving these precious lives!

***UPDATE***

Max ~ 4 months after we got him back, even with several different medicated bathes, steroids and antibiotics, poor Max still suffers with skin issues.   His hair is finally growing back in, but he still has "hot spots" on his skin that are itchy, red and irritated.

Despite probiotics, medicated bathes, conventional meds, and a grain free diet, Max's skin is still not healed!  He has to go back to the Vet to discuss other treatment options to help him completely heal.

We are monitoring his heart and hip issues, which so far seem to be managable.  And he is taking supplements to support his care.  We would like to take Max to a Canine Chiropractor as well, but we need your support to help pay for it!!

We are still working on his severe separation anxiety, and are considering whether to start on "puppy prozac" or not.  Vet will recheck at next visit.

MAX'S 1st  BIRTHDAY IS 12-3113

Max's Wish list:

Taste of The Wild food, canned and dry

***Lilly Update***

Thanks to your generous support, Lilly is doing great!  She goes back to the Vet on 12/17/13.  She needs to have additional bloodwork, and if ok, will get utd on vax & Health Certificate.  She weighs over 10 lbs now and is healthy and happy now!  We have our Silly Lilly back!  She should be medically cleared for adoption next week!  =D

We only need a couple hundred dollars more to get Lilly ready for her Forever home!  Please help us pay for her Vet visit by donating today!  Your generous donations saved her life!!  Let's get this sweet girl the healthy, happy ending she deserves!

***Cody Update***

Our tiny little man is doing great!  After spending a few scary nites in Intensive Care with fluids and meds, he fought back!  Cody remainded on antibiotics and supplements for a few weeks.  His Foster reports he is eating/drinking/playing normally!  Thanks to your generous support, another precious life was saved!!

However, his $700 Vet bill still needs paid off.  And he needs additional supplements and another Vet check to be medically cleared.  Without your generous donations, we can't make that happen yet.

Please consider a small donation today and get to be a part of giving these precious babies the healthy, happy endings they deserve!  Thanks for your support!

100% of your donations we receive go directly to the animals in our care!  We are all volunteers and dedicated to the Selfless Service of animals in need!  The more Foster homes and funding we have to Vet them all, the more we can save.

Unless or until we pay off all these Vet bills, we simply can not afford to Rescue anymore!  We have to be fiscally responsible to provide what our current Fosters need, until they are all adopted.  That is not just Vet care, but also , flea/tick preventatives, deworming, heart worm preventatives, food, supplements, collars, leashes, litter, etc. Two of our Fosters have to eat expensive, high quality, grainfree dog & cat food, which we gladly provide for them.  But it is not cheap!!

We have to provide for all their needs while they are in our care!  Some animals have been in Foster care over a year, but we still love them and care for them daily....until they finally find their Forever Homes.

With your generous support, we will continue to do whatever it takes to get them all the healthy, happy endings they deserve!  Please consider helping us be a part of saving a precious life, with your donation today! Thank you for allowing us to do what we Love ~ helping the animals!

Update on Lilly

Lilly is continuing to lose weight and exeriencing neurological issues.  Our regular Vet has referred her to PVSEC for an MRI and Neurological Evaluation.  We need your generous support to save Lilly!!

Donations can be called into PVSEC directly at 412-366-3400 for Animals Against The Odds/Lilly or by clicking on the link to donate.

PLEASE....help us get a diagnosis so we can find out what is wrong with Lilly and hopefully save her life!!  She should not have to die because of money, but that is a harsh reality, without donations to pay for her care.  :(

Just this past weekend alone, two different Foster furbabies had medical emergencies.  We need your help with these huge, unexpected Vet Bills!

Lilly, a cat, has been experiencing sudden weight loss and neurological issues. The initial Bloodwork was inconclusive, and so have all the additional tests run by our  regular Vet.  They have ruled out the most common causes.  They want to transfer Lilly to PVSEC for additional specialized testing to rule out Cancer.  We have no idea what this could cost, but it is never cheap at a Specialist.

Max, one of our missing puppies was last seen 3/27/13, when he was put on medical quarantine for an unknown illness.  He was  recently recovered at WPHS  when they scanned his microchip and returned him to AATO.  Max was in horrible condition and is now in ICU at PVSEC.  The estimate for his care is $2700  $5100  There are pictures, Vet bills and updates on our facebook page for more detailed info.

We want to be able to provide whatever care PVSEC says Lilly and Max need to save their lives!!  But the sad reality is, without donations to pay these Emergency Vet bills, we won't be able to save them, or any more animals.  Their lives literally depend on donations!

Every little bit adds up and we greatly appreciate your generous support!  If you prefer, you can call in a payment directly to PVSEC 412-366-3400 for Animals Against The Odds account there, and avoid any additional fees.

Thank you for your time and donations to save Lilly and Max!

Anyone who Rescues animals knows, there are always unforseen medical expenses!  Animals get sick and/or injured all the time.  We need to be prepared to provide the Vet care they need to recover.

In the past week alone, we have several animals in need of Vet care, and need your help!

One of our Foster cats, Lilly, has been experiencing neurological issues and sudden weight loss.  Our Vet has ruled out common causes and ordered additional bloodwork to try to determine the cause.  They would also like to do a series of X-rays and additional testing, which can become very costly.

We have a dog that came from a shelter who appears to have Kennel Cough and full of internal and external parasites.  In addition to needing tested for Heartworm/Lyme disease, all vax and neutered.

And a feral colony caregiver called us to say one of her cats showed up limping and appears to have an open wound on his leg.  We need to trap this cat and get it to a Vet asap!

Without your generous support, we can not save any more animals until the ones we already committed to are Vetted and medically cleared.  Please consider a donation to help pay off our huge Vet bills, so we can Rescue more Animals Against The Odds!

100% of your donations go directly to the animals and their care!  If you prefer to send a check, made out to "Moon Veterinary Hospital" you can mail that to: AATO, PO Box #97890, Pgh, PA 15227

Thank you very much for your support in getting these fur babies all the healthy, happy endings they deserve!

We are an all volunteer, Foster based organization.  Without sufficient Foster homes and funding to Vet the animals, we simply can not save any more!

Unfortunately. we have had to go back to a waiting list for animals to come into Rescue.  There are several cats, kittens and a pregnant German Shepherd, as well as a male Pitbull in need of immediate Rescue!!  Without a place to take them, or way to get them Vetted, we can't help them!

Please consider a donation to help us, help the animals get the healthy, happy endings they deserve!  100% of your donations go directly to the animals and their care!

We thank you for your generous support!  =)
