Did you know that out of the 15,000 prostitutes in Cambodia, 35% of them are under the age 16? Our mom, Misty Thompson, is going on a mission trip to Cambodia to witness to these young girls and families who grow up in the center of the human trafficking ring. To all of you who know our mom, she is a woman filled with the spirit of God and has heard the calling to minister, and provide relief to them. To give you a little insight on how the trip will go- they will leave the Nashville airport on November 3rd, spend 2 days traveling, and then arrive in the capitol city, Phnom Penh. They’ll stay in Phnom Penh for 3 days, visiting the rescue home our church works with there, until they fly to Steung Siem Reap. The mission group will stay there for the remaining 2 days reaching out to families and donating 50kg bags of rice before they begin their journey back to the United States. We know our mom has been looking for a way to reach out, and we know that this cause is very close to her heart. The reason we are sharing this with you is to ask for prayer for safe travels, and also to request monetary help. The entire trip is $3,000, including air fare. In order for our mom to witness, we need to raise the money by Sunday, October 21st.
