Sadly my husband's life ended tragically on December 22nd, 2013. He passed after 20+ hours in surgery. He fought a long battle of high blood pressure which resulted in a torn aorta. After many complications of trying to fix Junior's heart his organs were shutting down on him. The Dr. asked if we would like to continue with dialysis and make some incisions on his legs to try recirculating the blood and relieve pressure, I jumped at the alternative and pleaded to the Dr. to do anything that could help my baby. As I prayed long and hard, crying and hoping that he would survive, the Dr. came out with tears running down his cheek. I didn't want to accept the news given to us and wanted to rush into the operating room. Hand in hand with his mother and grandma we went to see our Junebug. My heart stopped and couldn't breathe, this was our Junebug slowly slipping away. We grabbed his hand and kissed his face pleading with him to stay a little longer. But the nurses came in and told me that he wasn't going to make it. I told them to let him be a little longer and shortly after our Junebug passed.
My son thought his dad was asleep and I still had hope that my husband was going to squeeze my hand and kiss me once more. But that wasn't the case. We now face heart ache and grief trying to do all we can to cope with this huge loss. I am now asking to please help not only my son and I, but his beautiful mother and his father's side of the family to show our love for him. Thank you for all your love and support.
