A person like you comes once in a generation, if that. I could go on and on, much like your spirit will as it spreads to us. You will be with me wherever I go and you will be a part of everything I do. You lived a fuller life and had a bigger impact on the world in 30 years than most of us will have if we live to be 100. I saw Deshawn at the mall on 12/22/12 while doing my shopping and seeing him after several years really put a big smile on my face.I was able to speak to him and laugh for a little bit. Seeing Deshawn for the first time in so long made my holiday. Learning about his death made me think of the last time I saw him. Man, we go back to the CAYA days and what I remember most is how close D.Mill and Janika were. It's crazy because for the longest time I thought they were brother and sisters... I don't think it was until we went to GHS that I realized they were cousins...LOL...I hope my son and my niece have that same strong bond!!! Deshawn was a GREAT GUY and my heart dropped when I found out what happened. It's so hard to believe! I will definitely keep his loved ones and friends lifted in prayers.
