Craig Sytsma was a 46 year old colon cancer survivor who was known for his hard work and dedication to his everyday life. He was the director of a company called Eltro Services. He had a passion for being active, watching every Detroit sports team and doing daily crossword puzzles. Craig was also a father of three loving children; Luis, Jordan and Tyra. He was a wonderful role model, companion & father to all 3 of his children. Not only will they miss their father’s guidance & physical presence, but also all the support and encouragement he provided to them.
We, friends of the family, are asking for some financial help for the family during this horrific time in their lives. Unexpectedly, they lost Craig on Wednesday July 23rd. Craig was going for a routine jog in the evening out by his workplace, when he was attacked by two Cane Corso's. A neighbor noticed Craig being attacked, so he ran inside to get his gun to try and help scare the dogs away, but by the time he shot the bullet near the dogs and they took off, it was too late. The neighbor's wife performed CPR on Craig and got his heart beating again, but unfortunately Craig passed away in the emergency room of the hospital, due to trauma and blood loss. His eldest son Luis is left traumatized, trying to pick up the pieces and make the arrangements that need to be made. Unfortunately this means that the family needs to come up with a significant amount of money to pay for all of the expenses including: hospital bills, ambulance charges, funeral arrangements and other small things that may pop up along the way. If you knew Craig personally you would know that he would do anything for his kids! We ask that if you were fortunate enough to know Craig, know of Craig through his children or family or simply know Craig's story, please make a donation in his honor to help his family get through this unexpected tragedy. --Friends of the Sytsma Family
