Happy December 1st y'all!! Davy is 2 months into chemo, has done well as to be expected & will have repeat CT/PET Scans in 2 weeks. Praying that the chemo has worked some magic! Davy is in Israel at the moment. His dad is a pastor & took him for a Holy land tour, prayer & healing ceremonies. Davy's tour guide bought him some herbs this morning in Nazereth that is suppose to cure cancer!! He had a prayer ceremony yesterday with people laying hands & praying. Today his father will be dipping him 7 times in the Jordan River. We appreciate your continuous prayers & support!

First off BIG thank you to all our supporters! We couldn't do this without you! 
I'm sorry we haven't updated in a while, so here goes.
We went to MD Anderson, had PET/CT scans, met with genetics & oncologist there & got a plan. The PET showed an all clear in the colon but it METS to the peritoneum lining. That's the lining that covers all your internal organs & allows them movement in the body. Without surgery there is no cure. We hope after 6 months of chemo that the cancer cells will shrink enough for Davy to have this surgery. The surgery is 10-12 hrs long, very intense & radical with ALOT of risks! 
Fastforward to 10/11/12: Davy had his first round of chemo Monday, 10/08/12. He will go every other Monday for 5 hours of chemo infusion then get hooked up to a portable 48 hour infusion pump of a different chemo. He will have lab & Dr appointments every other off chemo week. So we will pretty much have 1/2 a week every week for the next 6 months spending much time away from home & in medical facilities :/ Such a 180 for us, but must be done. He was pretty weak Tuesday & his pain was not well controlled. Wednesday bad nausea & vomitting & still weak but a little better. Today 10/11/12 had labs drawn his white cell count & labs looked good for now, trying a different pain medication & other meds for other issues. I feel like we are finally headed down a good path. A rough one but good one.

I tear up & am SO SO VERY THANKFUL for our monetary donations when I write a check to the Dr, fill an expensive prescription & pay the big chemo copay! Our family is not suffering from taking out of our weekly bring home thanks to the wonderful people who have opened their hearts & helped lessen a burden!

Davy was seen at MD Anderson Sept 4-11, 2012. He had a colonoscopy that came back clean & clear (YAY), CT scans & a PET scan done. The CT/PET came back with METS to his peritoneum lining. He will undergo six months of chemo starting Oct 8, 2012. At the end of his six months if the chemo has shrunk the cancer cells enough & has not spread further he will return to MD Anderson for surgery. The surgery is 10-12 hours long, it will remove the peritoneum lining & it has major risks with an anticipated prolonged ICU stay. This is his only cure. Thank you to all that have donated! You have helped lessen a burden for Davy & his family. We appreciate those who continue to lift Davy up in prayer!! God Bless & will continue to keep you updated.
