Scooter has been publicly seeking a new home for seven months. DCIN has been able to find him one...as the crow flies about 2400 miles. But in true distance it will be much longer as he has to drive the mountainous roads of British Columbia, often go west (young man) to make it east, and go through United Airline's hubbing system for his air cargo flight. More than 3600 miles. He also has to see vets three times for his vaccines and two different travel health certificates.
Scooter will be a well-traveled fellow.
DCIN is seeking donations to help with the costs of this transport. It also is hoping to obtain donations for the dental procedure that Scooter will need when he gets home. Scooter has needed a dental (with extractions) for more than a year.
You can read more about Scooter on his blog page here.
Donations for Scooter's transport and dental are elible for tax deduction on US federal, state, and local tax returns. DCIN is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation and its empoyer ID number is 45-4519681. With your donation through PayPal, you will receive a receipt. If your donation exceeds $250, please contact me at Venita@dcin.info and I will send you separate documentation of your donation as required by the IRS.
