Meet our dog Sadie.  This beautiful and sweet yellow lab has been an integral part of our family for over eleven years.  Though she was quite a rambunctious puppy, Sadie has grown up to be an incredibly intelligent and loving dog with the ability to both make you laugh as well as comfort you through sickness or sadness.  Those who have the pleasure to meet her fall instantly in love, a testament to her friendly and cheerful nature.  She is our super dog, and a truly amazing one at that.

Sadly, we recently learned that our precious Sadie has developed a hepatoma, which is a large and invasive tumor on her liver.  Though our doctors did not find cancer in a small biopsy of the tumor, there is still a good chance that the tumor might be cancerous.  However, we will not know how large the tumor is or if it is cancerous until we can get it surgically removed.  Further, the tumor has compromised Sadie's liver, creating a ticking time bomb that could go off and kill her at any moment.  For a dog who is otherwise so healthy and happy, all she needs is this surgery to save her life.  The longer we wait, the more we risk losing her.

Unfortunately, surgery is very expensive.  Bills for vet visits and consultations have already started to pile up, and we simply cannot afford the cost of the surgery.  Estimates range between $4,500 and $5,600, and we have only received $1,500 in credit for her care.  Thus, we are hoping to raise the remaining $4,100 through donations to ensure that Sadie can get this life saving surgery.

We understand that money is tight for many people right now.  All we ask is for you to donate what little bit you can in the hopes that together we can achieve this goal.  As many animal lovers and owners understand, Sadie is extremely important to us.  She is not just a loyal companion; she is a member of our family.  Please help us save Sadie's life - we want to give back all that she has given to us over the years.
