This fundraiser is nearing it's end date and we haven't yet reached our goal. I know that people are wanting to continue donating, so I've created a new (identical) fundraiser that will go until we leave for the trip to Ohio in August. Thank you all for your continued support! Thanks to offline donations we've taken our total needed from $10,000 to only $5300! 3 months and 4 days until we are supposed to meet Thor's Autism Service dog...can we raise the last half we need to make the trip a possibility?

Thanks to donations made here and through our paypal link on the website, we only need $8695 to hit out goal and be able to make the trip to get Thor his Autism Service Dog. Our class starts August 14th - so we better hurry up

A well trained Autism Service Dog can make the difference between Thor becoming a fully functioning child, or one that must hide when something new is introduced into his life.

**THIS DOG COULD BE LIFE SAVING**
Did you hear about the 3 year old Autistic boy in Quebec last Spring? He was playing with his siblings in the yard and in a split second he was gone. They found him a month later on the
bank of a river. Another young girl in the US wandered away and was found the next morning, she had drowned in a water-filled hole at a construction site. (these stories continue to happen, as "elopement" is so very common among Autistic children, and Thor is no exception ) Had either of those children been lucky enough to have a service dog, their stories may have ended differently. I am terrified that Thor will end up being one of those stories, and I am determined to make sure that doesn't happen.

Thank you for your support!!

Today we recieved our first $50 donation (via the PayPal link on the blog, so I had to lower the goal on here as the donation cannot be added to the ammount raised). That means we only have $9950 left to go! Thank you so much Kathleen for your generosity, it means the world to us!!
