I just lost the message I wrote & need to do some work that I brought home from work so will not re-write it all right now . . . My daughter (Katy Erhardt) was saying she & her mother-in-law signed up for the bone marrow donor program . . . I said I signed up yrs ago but hadn't rec'd the newsletter lately (that's partially used to help keep updated on potential donors' addresses,...). She told me that now I guess there's a cut -off at age 44 for being a B.M. donor. I'd still be willing to be a donor if I was a match if the medical staff would consider it. I'm A positive, CMV* negative (*Cyto Meglio Virus - spelling ?), age 58 ('will be 59 on 8/8), in good general health & continue to give platelets every other week in general. So let me know if I can be of any help 'marrow-wise' - - - or even periphally - - eg if she needs platelets, transfusions, etc. .... In the meantime, 'hope the $ donation, thoughts & prayers help. I know we are somewhat distantly related, but we are family. I am the son of Michael Joslin--I am 23 years old. I lost my mother when I was 15 years old. I want nothing more then to donate and help beautiful Rorie in this most difficult time. I love the tagline "I have it, it doesn't have me."
