Unfortunately, her life is being put to the test right now since her diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer that has taken place in her brain. Here is what one of her grand-daughters has to say about her: "When I think about my grandma, the first thing that comes to mind is how wonderful she is. I can not ask for a more wonderful grandma. She is perfect inside and out. She's always been there for since day one, and I'm proud she never left my side. Just thinking about how much pain she has to deal with breaks my heart because she deserves a lot better. She is honestly a good role model, not only to me, but to our whole family. Grandma I know your strong enough to survive this, please stay strong for us, because everything's gonna be alright. I'll be by your side, I promise." Daisy Fuentes.
Monica was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 that was treated with surgery and chemotherapy. In 2012, the cancer returned and she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. She was doing well for the most part, until fall of 2013, she had weakness in her legs and the tumor continued to grow. She has been in and out of nursing homes, hospitals, and being cared for at home. Right now, the financial and emotional burden of this diagnosis is overwhelming for Monica and her family.
We could use your help with raising funds to help them with the medical costs and living expenses while she is trying to fight this battle. We are certain all of us know someone, whether it is a friend or family member, who has suffered from cancer. I hope you can find it in your budget to help our mom and our family through this difficult time in their lives.
Thank you for your consideration and generosity!
