Help for Maya Leggat

$50,415raised of $100,000 goal

Organizer: Robert Leggat Beneficiary: Maya Leggat

Maya Leggat, a 21 year old student attending Hunter College in New York City, suffered traumatic injuries on 11 a.m. Wednesday Sepetember 25, 2013 when she was shoved in front of an oncoming train at the White Plains Metro-North railroad by a homeless man.  Maya Leggat was simply reading her kindle and waiting for her train when she was brutally and heartlessly shoved from behind in front of a Metro-North train approaching the platform.

We are asking for donations to help Maya and her family pay for her medical expenses, operations and rehabilitation from this horrific incident.

No donation is too small and your support, love, and prayers are greatly appreciated.

Six months ago today, I was thrown in front of a train.

I was so close to not being here anymore. It wasn't my time though. I wasn't having it, and the police officers, paramedics, and surgeons who brought me to safety weren't having it either. Neither were my family, my friends, my love, my community. Neither were complete strangers to me.

I want to let you all know the reason these past six months have flown by, the reason I'm back on my feet faster than I thought possible with broken bones and deteriorated muscles, the reason why I'm as happy as possible, is because of all of you.

The steady stream of positive thoughts, love, and support, however given, has brought me to where I am today, and I am so grateful to you. I love you all so much.

I am so grateful to be here.

Alhamdulillah (Praise to God).
