Melanie MurrayBob received the first of 4 treatements this week and we are seeing such exciting results already: His social converation level is improving and he even cracked a few jokes (that's the old Bob I knew)! He initiated doing some work and earned some income (incredibly good for his morale). His physical therapist commented that his left hand is much more responsive and he is also now using it more in daily activities...and this is all from just the first stem cell treatement!! Please, donate any amount you can and continue to spred the word to help us to achieve our fundraising goal so we stay on target and can get each of the weekly treatements. Melanie MurrayWith the generous help of so many people, we are making incredible progress!
Noticable improvements are still happening from the first round of treatements - Bob can now use his left hand to open things such as packages and door knobs. He is walking up and down stairs without needing handrails and he even rode an escalator (something he refused to do since his stroke)! He is initiating conversations with others more and more frequently and that's just a few of the improvements!
We have raised enough money to schedule Bob's second and third treatements! These treatements are designed to promote the growth of new blood vessels into the stroke-affected brain cells that did not die but are dormant due to insufficient blood/oxygen.
We are hopeful we can continue to receive help so we can get all 4 treatements and pay the medical bills we've incurred.

Now that we are back in Physical Therapy we are anxious to also continue with the highly successful medical treatements so we have reopened our fundraiser! Melanie MurrayBob has received the first half of treatement #2 and we are again seeing immediate improvements again! The other day he picked up nail sicissors and trimmed the fingernails on his right hand with his LEFT HAND!! This is something he never could do at all since his stroke. He also happily and easily did a word-search puzzle which he previously would only stare at and not even attempt! These may seem small to a normal person but htese are HUGE for us!! We still need help with funds for the last treatements so anything you can do to help, it will be very much appreciated! Love Melanie and Bob

Through all the generous contributions we can schedule the next two treatements for Bob!
More improvements are noticable daily. Bob is now opening doors and packages with his left hand! He went up and down stairs without the use of handrails in Physical Therapy last week and he rode an escalator (something he has not been able to do since his stroke)! He is managing his personal care without mishap or frustrating outbursts and so his moral is skyrocketing!
Next treatement is in 3 days - we'll keep you all posted!
